Skyvan SC7 – space, power and reliability
The Skyvan SC7 is the only aircraft in Poland designed specifically for skydiving. It has a spacious interior, a wide ramp at the rear and powerful engines that quickly lift jumpers to the appropriate altitude. It is a reliable machine – safe, comfortable and ideal for tasks requiring precision. And the moment when the ramp opens and the jump begins is an experience that will stay with you for a long time.
An aircraft designed for special missions
The Skyvan SC7 is a British transport aircraft designed in the 1960s by Short Brothers. From the outset, it was designed with versatility in min - it was to carry both cargo and paratroopers, while maintaining complete reliability in all conditions.
Its distinctive boxy shape and wide rear ramp quickly earned it the nickname “Flying Shoebox.” It may not sound elegant, but it perfectly captures its character - simple, solid and effective.
Thanks to its well-thought-out design, the Skyvan can take off and land even on short, unpaved runways. The interior is spacious and the ramp allows for quick and comfortable exit during jumps. For over half a century, this machine has been used in the military, civil aviation and skydiving, gaining a reputation for being indestructible and exceptionally reliable in flight.
Two Garrett TPE 331 turbines allow it to reach an altitude of 4,200 meters in just 15-18 minutes, even when fully loaded.
A wide ramp at the rear ensures comfortable and safe exit from the aircraft – both during individual and formation jumps.
The crew consists of one or two pilots, depending on the type of operation, which always guarantees complete flight safety.
The deck can accommodate up to 22 jumpers, which allows for the organization of large formations and effective training.
The aircraft is adapted for high-altitude jumps, equipped with oxygen tanks and systems enabling breathing at higher altitudes.
